A Shout Out! From Billy Hedel’s Studio – November 6, 2015
Tonight is First Friday at Haynie’s Corner. Special events and art exhibits take place at area shops, businesses, bars and restaurants from 6 – 9 pm. Dining and drinking establishments will stay open later. Kirby’s Private Dining is hosting an exhibit of vessels as a preview of the “Empty Bowls” sale which will benefit the Tri-state’s hungry people. Visit www.Hayniescorner.com to learn more about the Haynie’s Corner Arts District Association.
Billy Hedel will be at Patchwork Central (100 Washington, www.Patchwork.org ) from 6 to 9 tonight. He is one of multiple artists selling work at Patchwork’s Holiday Art Sale. This year’s sale covers two days – during tonight’s First Friday event and tomorrow, Saturday November 7, from 9 am to 2 pm.
Billy’s selections for this show include new work and backstock from earlier this year. Paintings, drawings, prints and 3-D work include portraits of people and Evansville landmarks, landscape and nature images and prints, including a series which you can color yourself. Everything is priced to sell and you will find deep discounts on many items. The Holiday Sale supports programming at Patchwork because each artist donates 30% of their sales to the arts-centric organization.
If you can’t make this sale, mark your calendar for the Arts Council Holiday Sale. Billy will be helping kick-off the month-long sale on Small Business Saturday, November 28, from noon to 4 pm. The sale continues to January 4, 2016. The Arts Council is located at 311 Main Street (www.artswin.org ).
Billy is lining up his winter commission schedule. If you’ve ever wanted your own custom-made picture get in touch with us.
